Come, my people to the feast of life
At this table I will teach you
The fast that pleases me is sharing
The prayer I prefer is to love
O Lord, how good it is to be your people!
To be Church and live as brothers!
For the love you have for us, I praise you
For giving yourself to us in this bread!
If you wish to feel very close
A new Easter of liberation
Come first with me to the desert
Of silence and contemplation
If sin and evil disfigure you
If pain and the cross frighten you
My grace and forgiveness transfigure
In the Word you will have new light
If the weariness of life invades you
When the thirst for love strikes you
I will be comfort and friendship
By the fountain, waiting for you
I am the Shepherd who gives you security
Who guides your timid steps
Open your eyes, awaken! Rise up!
Persevere in the works of light!
I transform all death into seed
I came to free you from the shackles
With me you will live fully
And happily you will be able to walk
