El Jubilado
Coco Díaz
The Retiree
Last night I returned to the ranch
Quite grumpy
Maybe because I'm broke?
Like all retirees
There I go, from one side to the other
Like a tired mule
Thinking to myself
But why did I retire?
Thank goodness I have a friend of mine
Who owns a bar and she tabs me
When I complain they tell me
Tomorrow, the day after
At this rate we'll get paid
When there are no more retirees
Every now and then
We find some odd jobs
And they've paid me with checks
Faster than an airplane
Thank goodness I have a friend of mine
Who owns a bar and she tabs me
I had to shrink my clothes
Due to the forced diet
They used to call me the fat one
Now they call me the wire fence
That's why I'm looking around
Quite grumpy
For the inventor of work
Who they say is retired
Thank goodness I have a friend of mine
Who owns a bar and she tabs me
