Dama Del Rio
Cómplices
Lady of the River
I don't even know the place where I was born
nor how many cities have been left behind
everything has been fading away like the pain
like the clouds dissipate as they pass by.
I sit by a river whose name I don't know.
The water flows gently and blue.
On the other side there's a man just like me
it seems he will come from the beyond
From shore to shore we look at each other
two travelers waiting to hear the same signal.
Lady of the river, give me the sign
Lady of the river, for I must cross
Lady of the river, give me the sign
give me your hand, to cross.
The water continues its path to the end
you just have to let it flow
your whole life is just a drop
first it's rain, then it's foam in the sea.
Sometimes it runs murky, sometimes it runs clear
just let it flow.
Lady of the river, give me the sign
Lady of the river, for I must cross
Lady of the river, give me the sign
give me your hand...
Lady of the river, give me the sign
Lady of the river, for I must cross
Lady of the river, give me the sign
give me your hand...
