He did not spare his own life to save me
Like a gentle lamb, he allowed himself to be sacrificed for me
He paid in his own flesh what I could not pay:
He died in my place

It was there on the cross that He redeemed me
And took on my sins
It was there on the cross that He saved me
And today I am no longer a slave
He changed my fate
Christ gave me life through his death

Freely he gave his life
In silence, he offered himself without measure
He bore my wounds in his body
He won for me a new life
