A Caridade

Hope and faith sustain our life in the Lord
In firmness and holiness
These gifts that come from heaven will lead to the Creator
Those who walk in divine Charity

Charity is perfection
That remains eternally
The faithful to God, who possess it within themselves, will receive
Excellent reward

If we speak, oh brothers, the celestial language
And that of men, in truth
This will not lead us to the eternal city
If Charity is not within us

For the saints of the Lord, it is a virtue without equal
The excellent Charity
Clothed in this good, we will overcome all evil
And we will see God, the Father of eternity
