Cristo, Luz do Mundo

Where there was weeping, joy was heard
Instead of pain, eternal peace arose
Where complete dryness prevailed
Waters sprang forth and brought salvation

Christ, light of the world
Is the Author of such precious redemption

Christ, Morning Star, celestial light
That shone upon all mortals
Came to announce that the night has passed
And that the day of justice has arrived

Christ, counselor, Prince of peace
Bread from heaven and brings life to all
Divine kingdom that descended upon us
Is the Savior that God promised to man
