This deceitful world only brings us sadness
In it there is weeping, death, and pain, which are not in glory

There in heaven, the home of love
There is no death, there is no pain
There is no weeping and no sadness
But there is peace and splendor

Our tears, in the end, will be wiped away
By God the Father, the Creator, in the heavenly Zion

In the city of the Lord where the light is eternal
The faithful will behold our beloved Jesus
