Bird's Art
Cry this song as dark as the sea
With your heart lost like mine
Shipwrecked in the loneliness of this harmful wine
And a mirror moved away with the laughter from that bar.
God wasn't there, flew away like smoke
From the fateful day someone told me you won't be there anymore
To save me that bread, and shelter me with love
To the memory of your peace (in the damn city).
Orphan of the sun, drunk on you I ran to find
The way back home
And find your lively voice, the smile that's not here
And the friend who served my sorrows at the bar
Took me on that bus
From the back sidewalk
The downtown sidewalk
To find you again.
(To hug you there flying
To learn to fly
And that wine is not a ladder to climb up to find you...)
