Little Angel Huenuman
In the valley of Pocuno
Where the sea breeze bounces around,
Where the rain nurtures the mosses
Lives Little Angel Huenuman.
Between the hills and the valleys
The hazelnut and the pitran
Amidst the scent of the chilcas
Lives Little Angel Huenuman.
Watched over by five dogs
A child left by love's hand
Simple like her little farm
The world spins all around.
The red blood of the copihue
Flows in her veins, Huenuman
Next to the light of a window
Little Angel weaves her life.
Her hands dance with the thread
Like the wings of a chincol
It's a miracle how she weaves
Even the scent of the flower.
After months of hard work
The chamal seeks a buyer
And like a caged bird
She sings for the highest bidder.
Among the looms, little angel
There’s time, tears, and sweat
The hands that go unnoticed
From my creator's hometown.
