Sueño de Libertad

In such a voracious cry it shows its truth,
the misery that doesn't want to be silenced.

And by its side is always there, loyal
friend, so faithful
ignorance that helps it ride

through the fields of life that we have to walk today,
where hunger is the food and our shelter the cold.

I just wish I could prove
that a sleeping town can't dream,
dream of its freedom...
freedom!

And even though fear silences this cry for mercy,
silence in the wounds is the deadliest weapon.

In the voices of the people I will take refuge,
those who demand justice, a salary, and dignity,

Those who fight day by day, those who want
to tear down
the offenses of a few who want to trample us.

I just wish I could prove
