The Letter
With a nervous handwriting
One December night
A child writes a letter
To the Three Wise Men of the East
Majesty, this year I don't want
Neither toys nor gifts
You know I've been very good
My dearest Three Kings
Forgive me if the handwriting is not good
Forgive me if something is not understood
Because I wrote it by candlelight
When everyone at home is already asleep
I want to ask to share
A bit of laughter for those who are not happy
And a big heart full of hope
For those who have lost the desire to live
And a bit of bread to feed
The tears of a child who falls asleep without dinner
And a beautiful place to return
For those who once had to leave
Majesties, I only want
For mankind a bit of sanity
For a happy and sincere world
And to end this madness
Majesties, I only ask
A little love among brothers
A silence to silence the screams
And a home for the homeless
Majesties, I only hope that upon receiving this letter
You read it and I thank you in advance
Because I know you will grant it to me
Majesties, for the child born in that stable
Because that night you went to worship Him
Under the star that shone over Bethlehem
I bid farewell, my dear Three Wise Men
It's getting late and I don't want my parents to wake up
And tomorrow will be Christmas again
