La Sirenita
Cri-Cri
The Little Mermaid
As a fisherman passed by
In his seaworthy boat
Next to the rocks
Kissed by the sea
He heard a voice singing
And rowing he approached
Where the breakwater breaks
With crazy longing
To capture
That sweet voice
When he threw
The net of his nets
He caught the little mermaid
With green reflections
The fisherman
Saw her in the moonlight
And when he tried to touch her
To escape from him
She turned into foam
Since then every time
The moon is full
In his little boat
Goes the fisherman
Looking for a rumor
But the only singing
Is never from the mermaid
But from the waves
Crashing there
In the calm sea
Below him
In the depths
The mermaid played
With pearls and corals
In freedom
Far beyond his reach
Never to come out again
Because the law of the sea
Knows no romance
