Autistic doesn't look like an autistic
But has some characteristics
And when you get to know
We understand, include
Respect and have empathy

We call it a spectrum because we are different
Neither worse nor better, but incomparably
With courage, we overcome a lion every day

Some take longer to speak
Others speak non-stop
Some shake their hands
And walk on tiptoes
Some love hugs
Others want to isolate themselves
They are sensitive to sound and sight

When in crisis, please respect me
Because my brain works in a different way
Don't mock me, don't judge me, much less reject me!
Bullying and prejudice hurt many people
