Deserto de Provação

Through the desert of trial
I had to go through
In this desert I learned
That I needed to exalt God
Even in struggle or tribulation
The praise of the Christian is necessary

The desert of struggle is scorching
And makes us think about stopping
We feel alone at every moment
And the whirlwinds want to take us away

Behind, we only see dust
Because the wind blows too strong
Ahead, sandstorms
Blind our vision so we can't see anymore

So, we prostrate with our face in the dust
And cry out for help as Job did
And even crying and bleeding feet
We go on, we go on
Because we remember: God only tests the faithful

If you are in the desert of trial
Because God has something to teach you
Trust only and wait, brother
The Lord wants to refine you

He will not allow a struggle
Beyond what you can bear
Only He knows your heart
And knows how to help you

For it is deep in the valley
That He shows what you do not know
And so, He will equip you
And you will emerge, yes, emerge
Stronger than before to be used by God
