But let me go ahead and tell the story from the beginning
He was born in a town inland, baptized in Cachapoal
As a child, he already showed his very human cruelty
Mockery always hit hard, expert at finding flaws
Friend of the strong and tormentor of the withdrawn
He was very funny, as much as he was harmful
He didn't realize, he thought, to be the model of the right man
For himself, he was a champion, an example of overcoming
The poor are poor because they want to, because they didn't want to study
And in his love life, he followed the same pattern, one woman after another
He squeezed the life out of them, they were just prey
He never wanted to give in, fearing to appear weak
If he doesn't like something, he doesn't listen, he's not pretending to be deaf, he truly doesn't listen
In the morning at the café, a shot of hot water, beer at noon

A friend's ex-wife, if she wanted it in the end

It was on a winter night, coming back from a meeting
Driving drunk, he fell asleep and crashed into a Vitara
Killed the driver instantly, left one in the back paralyzed
And he decapitated himself with the fake leather steering wheel
He descended to hell, after a swift trial
Fate had it that he entered the section where I worked
At first, I punished him, as it was my duty
But he was such a lovable guy, still so full of life
You can tear off my skin, he said, I can endure my castration
but what I've eaten and danced, tell me who can take it away
