Un Disparo
Cruzando El Charco
A Shot
My eyes are heavy with tiredness
My legs ache from walking
The sun peeked out cautiously
And in my mind, the desire to arrive
The night is sad in your absence
The sky cries wrapped in pain
Because once again my body leaves
To float without your song
And counting to ten with a gun to my temple
I pause at the old station
And dreaming, perhaps I will never feel
That embrace so sweet and fierce
Without thinking of your voice, I keep counting
And the whistle of the train deafens me
My seconds are running out
We won't see each other again
The trigger is hard
My throat tightens
But I am sure
That today my world ends
And counting to three with a gun to my temple
That goodbye got lost in my skin
That you gave me once without thinking why
And today a shot answers your voice
