Cinturón Gris
El Cuarteto de Nos
Gray Belt
I drew an iguana and stuck it here on my forehead
I painted each nail a different color
And I had no problem choosing the shoes
One yellow shoe and the other Colorado
I put talcum powder on my face, I dyed my hair blue
I got a tattoo on my tongue with a Sun and an igloo
And I adjusted my pants that look like a tapestry
With a dull nondescript and simple gray belt
I put on a necklace with light that could dazzle
I faked blood on my arms
I tore my shirt into pieces
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
It's not a game, nor am I crazy
It's just my intention to draw attention
And someone comes and asks me
Why am I like I am? And what's wrong with me today?
And what's wrong with me today? What's wrong with me today?
I buttoned my jacket with the pirate flag
I put a scarlet scarf on my head
I walked through the city with a lost look
Waiting for someone to speak to my hurting soul
On the street full of people like me
No one noticed the strangeness of my attire
Just an isolated voice that I heard out there
That said something about a gray belt
I returned like every time, distilling my anxiety
with everyday tasks
To repeat everything tomorrow
No no no no no no
It's not a game, nor am I crazy
It's just my intention to draw attention
And someone comes and asks me
Why am I like I am? And what's wrong with me today?
And what's wrong with me today?
The simple stands out
Among so much strangeness
We look at each other without seeing each other
The other is not interested
We are looking for help
In abandoned places
We want to recognize ourselves
But we are disguised
But we are disguised
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
It's not a game, nor am I crazy
It's just my intention to draw attention
And someone comes and asks me
Why am I like I am? And what's wrong with me today?
And what's wrong with me today? And what's wrong with me today?
I just want someone to come and ask me: What's wrong with me today?
