Cómo Pasa El Tiempo
El Cuarteto de Nos
How Time Passes
They say that time and forgetfulness are twin brothers
That time is money and I don't plan to waste it
So before falling asleep today I want to affirm
That this was just another day and not one less
Time only heals what no longer matters
It seems like a God that doesn't forgive sins
I can't make it obey, hurry, or stop
I just want to take advantage of it
And use it as it always used me
Without regretting that it slipped away
Because tomorrow from yesterday is today
I watch how time passes
At the same time fast and slow
A mix of duality and cynicism
I look at the clock and it tells me: Right now
I know it won't give me back a second
That's why today I don't want to waste time getting lost
If I get distracted and don't grab it
It flew, flew, flew, flew
It takes care of ruining and destroying everything
It reminds us not of who we were, but who we are
And when it's time to face it, you can't fight it
I learned that from Saturn and Cronos
It's worth more to leave a mark than to be tough
And something that endures can be overwhelming
Whoever dared to say that time heals everything
Surely didn't use or didn't have a clock
I'm another anonymous in its eternity
That's why my synonym for later is now
If something makes me desperate, it's waiting
I watch how time passes
At the same time fast and slow
A mix of duality and cynicism
I look at the clock and it tells me: Right now
I know it won't give me back a second
That's why today I don't want to waste time getting lost
If I get distracted and don't grab it
It flew, flew, flew, flew
We blame time for all the evils
Debating in an endless discussion
We say we want to be immortal
And we don't know what to do on a rainy day
I don't want to use it as an excuse
When I fail to achieve something
It wasn't me who wanted to waste time
It was time that lost me
I can't waste it
Or think about hiding from it
Even if you want to kill the rooster
Dawn will still come
I watch how time passes
At the same time fast and slow
A mix of duality and cynicism
I look at the clock and it tells me: Right now
I know it won't give me back a second
That's why today I don't want to waste time getting lost
If I get distracted and don't grab it
It flew, flew, flew, flew
