Minha juventude
Cueio Limão
My youth
I was only eight years old
When we met there on the street of my house
We played and had fun and I even enrolled in the school where she studied
And there were many happy years
Of smiles and friendship until one day it happened
I looked at her and kissed that beautiful mouth and she responded.
And my world was spinning and I couldn't believe how good it was
My youth was blossoming
And I fell in love with life and with my sound.
And then came the day-to-day,
And my dream grew to live with her forever
Studying, working, and singing all day to have money for us.
And when I was graduating
Suddenly she came and said in front of me:
I don't want to be with you anymore, maybe I'll call you tomorrow, I want to be independent.
And my world exploded, a sea of cold water came, and froze my heart
I don't know where to hide, I just keep composing with my guitar.
But then my mother came in the morning, shouted at me to get up and I woke up startled
I told her what I had dreamed, she came to my side and whispered in my ear
Take it, you foolish boy, work, earn a salary to spend on that cow, now you're there thrown, I had warned you and you ignored me.
Now I really have nothing, without my mother, without a girlfriend, rejected and lonely.
I even tried the seminary to complete my ordeal, only missing being president.
Yuuuuuuh!!!
