Pensando En Voz Alta
Cuti Carabajal
Thinking Out Loud
Just rhyming, anyone can string words together
You can sing feeling from a little to nothing
I’m an old, loyal regular of the song of the soul
We can be selfish, arrogant, unfaithful
Oh! How much virtue has come to the animals
I’m leaving very bad signs on this Earth
Christmas Eve, how beautifully it makes us good
From war to a fake kiss in front of the little tree
Oh! How hypocritical we are, brothers, by the little tree
We’re killing the air, the flora, and the fauna
Why are we bringing kids to Mother Earth?
If we’re devouring her even to her core
My money, my gold, my dog, that possessive love
We cage animals, there’s so much selfishness
Freedom and forgiveness for all this cynicism
Reason has no owner, nor does it have masters
I don’t care if it has a master as long as it’s not human
I want it to reason and to know why I love
I sing thinking out loud, verses without borders
I say words without an owner, without shadows or corners
Without a place to scratch, I live life the same
We’re killing the air, the flora, and the fauna
Why are we bringing kids to Mother Earth?
If we’re devouring her even to her core
