The Time is His
Jesus was invited to a wedding
But in the middle of the party the wine ran out
He was informed of what happened
But says his time has not yet come
On another occasion his great friend
Was very ill He was warned
He could have gone in time
But only arrived after he was buried
He doesn't act when we think it's best
Nor does he work in our logic
The time is His and He acts as He pleases
He humbles and exalts whom He wants
He is God and sovereign and does as He pleases
The time is His and it will happen in His time
The time is His and it is in His time that He will come down
The time is His and it is in His time that He will heal
The time is His and it is in His time that He will save
He is already healing, freeing, saving
He is baptizing, bringing, taking
He is doing, operating
He is the one who commands, who orders
Who tells the hour and the sentence
Who helps you, who renews you
Who gives you strength and gives you victory
It's all His, you are His
Your house is His, your battle is His
And everything will be resolved in His time
Because the time is His
He doesn't need to rush, as He never arrives late
It's not a problem for Him if the dead is buried
He doesn't need to schedule or set a time
Because He is not bound by time
Because time is His slave
He does as He pleases, at the time He wants, in the way He wants
Whenever He wants, He humbles and exalts
He lifts you up, picks you up when you fall and puts you on your feet
He is great on earth, strong in war
He is king, He is God, the one who reigns
He doesn't wait for time
Because time is the one who waits for Him
It's in His time, at His hour, it's when He wants
So trust in Him, forget the clock
And your time and wait for His time
