It was everything when she told me,
"Welcome home," in a calm voice
Just walked in, thinking how it comforts the soul
Never have so few words meant so much
And suddenly it was like this, out of nowhere, like a shining being -
Everything made sense, breathing made sense,
Walking made sense, every little detail lost in thought
This is what really mattered,
Not any other kind of gratification
Not what you earn,
Not what they say about us, no, no, no
A new car, a good savings,
Not even family, or that ring - nothing?
Just two words and an article,
Formed the universal answer
My philosopher's stone
Heading into our little universe
A bit scattered - ready to be submerged
In that sea of mild temperature that my little one
Opened up for me, always calm and serene

I try to have the strength to take what’s mine
I know that sometimes a bit of us goes too
I must agree that sometimes we lack reason
But I deny there are reasons for us to feel so alone

Welcome home she said when she stepped out
A beautiful paradox invented by that lovely lady
On days when time stopped, recorded, danced,
I can’t go back, but I will
Because I’m clumsy, lost the key, don’t even know my way
In these hazy days when I walk alone I wither
Looking for a new home from the coffin to the grave
The journey is tough all the way, always a test
