Toda a Gente
Da Weasel
Everybody
Everybody criticizes the neighbor's cell phone
But deep down everybody wants to have one just like it
Everybody shouts: All different, all the same!
But maybe there are a few cool dudes too many
Everybody wants to be supportive
But when push comes to shove, everybody disappears
Everybody wants to be very modern
But narrow-mindedness will be eternal
Everybody wants to do something original
Ending up copying what they think is original
Everybody notices that I end two sentences the same way
(If that's the case, everybody fell into the trap)
I just want to confirm if I'm getting the proper attention
From everybody listening to this song
Everybody needs to stop and relax for a bit
And I, like everybody else, am already stressed out
I grab the microphone and make it my talent
On the outside, on the inside, showing my offspring
Superficial, composed, direct and indirect
It's cool and it's fine
Surrender to my sound is now what's appropriate
Everybody criticizes
Everybody is full of energy
But it's at the coffee table where all the action happens
There's no money that can buy this little sound
Just bring another little coffee
Everybody even buys a shirt
But in the end, nobody really needs that crap
Everybody talks about the situation in Timor
Many to gain something, and very few out of love
Some usually talk about revolution
But the revolution won't be broadcasted on TV
It has to happen within each one of us
Otherwise, we'll never get anywhere
Some want to solve the world's problems
All at once, confident, just like a good scout
But while chasing such noble ideals
We forget to clean up our own backyards
We try to fight all the evils of the earth
When in fact, the war starts in our own home
Everybody should stop talking, look inside, and act
Virgul- keep it going
