We'll leave behind a body made of poetry
And an eclipse of stateless singers
When, far from waiting, the days arrive
To think naively that those were the days of old

If before becoming what I never thought I’d stop being
Time and my fears turn me into an empty shell, the residue of my heart now void of promises
Isn’t the space between my dreams and my hands the real issue?
Or is the damn solution just barely breathing?

We’ll play the game of our lives
Making up the rules as we go
Rejecting the notion of being mortal
Demanding from the gods, of the gods, the divine

If with the light of my words I ever illuminate the path of another being
My need to be a spell of conjugation won’t have been born in vain, neither pencil nor paper
In a notebook, I’ll have left my soul as treasure, so whoever finds it can be
As poor or as immensely rich as I am!

When what we have
Ahead can be
Bigger than this shit of a tile
That we step on while dancing
The bet overwhelms us in such a way that it’s
Life or nothing, maybe
