La Era de Las Catedrales
Daniel Anglès
The Era of the Cathedrals
It's a story that happened
In Paris, year of the Lord
Fourteen eighty-two
It's about desire and love
Any anonymous artist
Of sculpture or rhyme
We will try to transcribe
To immortality
The era of the cathedrals arrived
The world entered
Another millennium
Man saw the starry worlds
His story wrote
In stone or stained glass
Stone by stone, from sun to sun
Century after century, with love
He saw his cathedral built
With tears and sweat
The poet and the troubadour
Will sing only to love
A better future
Was promised to humanity
The era of the cathedrals arrived
The world entered
Another millennium
Man saw the starry worlds
His story wrote
In stone or stained glass
The era of the cathedrals passed
We will be invaded
By the most hostile barbarism
Let them occupy towns and cities
It was prophesied
That this world will end
Upon entering the year two thousand
