La Amistad

Friendship
Being a friend, I wonder?
What a great virtue is sincere friendship
But someone handles that interpretation
Because there are friends who suffer with our sorrows
But there are friends who rejoice when they hurt us with pain
Good friends are those who never rejoice in bad times,
Nor in good times do they abandon their helm
And there are friends who love us like brothers
But there are also brothers who don't even want to be friends
Companion, come and shake my hand
You who have never failed me, may God keep you faithful friend
Because there are friends who are there out of convenience
Those who close the door on you when they see you in trouble
They are traffickers of pain and conscience
And in supply and demand, they also put friendship
Ingratitude is part of their misery
And in poisonous strategy they mimic their cord.
Fly, fly swallow, if one day in life
You will find a faithful friend
Fly, fly pilgrim, for envy also has its end (repeat).
It is very difficult to unmask who is the Judas
Who knocks on your door with a timid and formal look
They give you confidence and start pulling out your claws
Then they give you their final mortal blow from behind
And the vermin that eats away at your soul
You bring it to your house and it destroys your home
Be careful, the hypocrite is loose
Not every hug is sincere, nor every compliment is true
There are scoundrels who disguise themselves as honest
And set up a facade they call dignity
They are artisans of cynicism and lies
They are sewer rats, who will betray you one day
Be prepared for life's hazards, even your own family
Will turn their back on you and leave, but there are friends who are friends for life
They are the ones who never forget you, and never abandon you
Fly, fly swallow, if one day in life
You will find a faithful friend
Fly, fly pilgrim, for envy also has its end
