El Origen de Los Fundamentos
Daniel F
The Origin of the Foundations
She opened the door and finally I could
Show still wet, somewhat unclear
And pulled maybe be a master, a very skilled doctor
Or a cop whatever if destiny allows me
To peek step by step I went through a
Strange and cloudy world without losing what was lost,
All upside down and tied maybe it will be a
Lord of great ease someone for this era
Or for none whatever if destiny lets me peek
She taught me to hear the
Silence to draw a heart in the sky
And her stories embroidered in tears on those fierce winter nights
She taught me to speak the
Truths and not to cover them in the mud not to
Lose the illusion of that child and to
Chase the shooting star this that I know today
I would have wanted to know that day that
I learned over the years I would have
Had yesterday I wouldn't have shipwrecked at the door
When it touched my day I wouldn't
Slide downhill on my skin she taught me
Not to lose the way not to beg
Not for a shadow or a light among those stars that
Hang from the fire between the gaze and the touch of her
Voice
Maybe be a painter or a gravedigger altogether
Maybe be a priest or disease good for nothing or
Nothing for everything good whatever if destiny doesn't
Try to tame she taught me to hear
The stars and in that stillness find a
Heart to draw caution in my steps
Take the night from my balcony I never
Knew how to tell her anything or thanked her or
Gave her a flower I wasn't by her side those
Sad days and now I make her this poor song
