O Menino e O Trem

There was a man working on the line
He took care of the railway for a passenger train
He skillfully managed the drawbridge
He did a good job there all day long
The train passed, he raised the bridge
The train came back, he lowered the bridge
He saved lives with joy
Lives of people he didn’t even know

That man was meticulous and dedicated
He had a beloved little boy who always followed him
While he worked there happily
His innocent son played by his side
One day, the little boy went down to get his toy
The packed train was getting close
At the wrong time, there was his little boy

Desperate, that man shouted
His son didn’t hear, and he was left disoriented
To avoid seeing a greater tragedy before him
He saw his innocent little one get crushed
The train passing and the crowd watching
The man crying like a madman running
Everyone happy and he suffering
Giving up his son to not see them dying

This story, unfortunately, was real
This fatal episode makes me cry bitterly
It reminds me, God loved this world so much
That He sent His son to die humbly
On a cross, without any malice
God saw His son face cruelty
His love is a truth
God gave His son to save humanity
