The Carpenter Preacher
In the beginning, he was just a boy
Working with his dad
Just a carpenter preaching
About salvation and peace
He walked by the Sea of Galilee
With his loving way to speak
But that carpenter preacher
Started to make waves
His hands healed the blind and the lame
And mended broken hearts
Many poor were well-fed
By the miracles he sparked
The needy came to his feet
Hoping for a miracle to find
And with that, his enemies rose
And came to hurt him
Suddenly, the carpenter appears
Carrying a cross on the road
He was no longer just a carpenter
He was just a lonely lamb
Slowly climbing up Calvary
Spilling warm blood on the ground
With his hands and feet bleeding
He was announcing salvation
Jesus died like a lamb
Rose again as a lion
He was just a simple carpenter
Yet the author of creation
Now he’s a warrior of the universe
And he’s got fire in his hands
His name is sovereign
Over heaven, earth, and sea
He has authority, enters anywhere
His enemies stop to hear
What he wants to say
