Memories
I bring in my memory
The childhood time when I was raised
I remember the old hut
In the middle of the countryside and the cattle work
I can never forget the sunset in that backcountry
My father would invite me for a fishing trip by the stream
After a few hours, we had to go back and dad would say
Son, I know it's a shame, but our fishing trip was worth it
We have to go back home, the night is cold
Let's rest, your mother is waiting
She must be thinking they are about to arrive
And as the night passed, mom would get up before the sun rose
She would prepare coffee, say 'Zé, come drink'
My father would invite me to read the word and sing praises
Thanking God, with his little ones, for the night that passed
Soon everyone would leave, follow their paths to work
Francisca would stay alone, taking care of the house, lunch, and dinner
But time passed and with feelings we came to the city
Even with all the effort, we faced some difficulties
But there were great victories and the Lord changed our story
After raising the children, the old man became less worried
Beside his companion, a great warrior living in peace
Just the two of them there alone, like 2 little birds in the countryside of Goiás
But life on this earth, one day ends, that's the truth
God took our dear father to his mansion in eternity
He fought the good fight, won the battle, and went to rest
I know the time is coming, and we will also go
To meet him, to meet him!
