When Jesus comes, what a surprise
Sadness and fear for those who remain
News and headlines in the papers, the radio and TV on the air
An event never seen before, soon the world will pass
Those who mocked and laughed at us, in despair, start to ask
What happened to my wife? Only her spot is left in bed
At work, my buddy, who was a believer, vanished and no one knows where he’s at!
The son didn’t come back home, the husband disappeared from the house
The destruction is so immense, disasters all over the land and in the air

My dad who preached the gospel, suddenly I don’t hear him speak anymore
Mom, who was a believer and loved me, didn’t even have time to hug me
The believers worshiped in church, only the pews are left in place
On the buses, passengers disappeared and those who stayed can’t explain
But those who were once believers will show up, only they can talk
What you just saw, I’ve dared to preach about!
I stayed because I strayed from the gospel, regretfully I can say
It was Christ who took the church, blessed are those who were waiting
