La Llamarada
Daniel Viglietti
The Blaze
Larai, larai, larai, larai, laralero...
How beautiful the early morning
With that blazing sun!
"You have to save to not be poor"
An old peon told me
And he never had extra money
To buy himself a piggy bank.
The handsome little bug the ovenbird,
Hardworking like a peon.
He doesn't need money
And furthermore, he has no boss.
The salary of a cart driver peon
Should never be increased
So he values money
And doesn't learn to waste.
Peons, a doctor said,
Are not delicate men,
Pain doesn't affect them
Because they are used to it.
How beautiful the early morning
With that blazing sun.
When the blaze comes
It will light up the whole world.
Larai, larai, larai, larai, laralero...
How beautiful the blaze
Lighting up the whole world!
