Las Hormiguitas

The Little Ants

The white and blue little ants
With their load cross the earth,
Cross the seas, cross the skies
Leaving behind the storm,
The broken house, the killer foot,
Life wounded by that evil,
The storm.

But dreams and paths
The little ants will not leave;
They carry them with the illusion
Of a circus traveling to the show.
If they are asked where they work
They always answer 'in construction',
The construction.

The little ants carpentering,
Masonry, painting,
Imagining, not forgetting,
Falling in love and even singing
They walk and accumulate
Green energy, lots of hope,
Lots of hope.

They keep walking on the earth,
On the skies, on the seas,
Multiplying leaves and flowers,
Accumulating green energy,
Lots of hope, a very good day,
For their circular journey,
It's circular, it will end
To begin.

The little ants are very tenacious,
The scars will close,
With their little mate herb leaves
The little ants will heal.
Few understand their long journey,
Why did they leave if they have to return?
They have to return.

All crooked the little ants,
They are as supportive as a beehive.
All crooked the little ants,
They are as supportive as a beehive,
But if they find the killer foot,
Itching and itching, they will attack.
They will attack!

The little ants that I sing to you about
Are so tiny that they are not even seen,
But the dreams they carry
Have the height that goodness has,
The goodness of all nature
That on this earth asks for a place.

The little ants never get lost
Because their journey is circular,
It's as round as the eyes
Of a human waking up,
It's as round as the planet
That we are going to liberate.
To liberate!
