Inequality
The questions I ask myself the most are the ones I understand the least
My blood boils observing what I'm seeing
Lying people contradicting themselves
Being what they claim to be, without living it
And the one who sometimes feels cold isn't always the one shivering
The one who cries with a covered face isn't a coward
The one who gives hugs is the one who needs them the most
And the one who sometimes doesn't show up won't always arrive late
The one who is silent sometimes can't help but shout
The one who has suffered the most hunger tends to share the most
The first person you helped is the first one to turn away
And the one you label as old is the one who can teach you the most
No one is better than beggars just because they don't have a roof
You think you're humble, but you boast about kindness
And the one you insult for being black has the same rights as you
Racism is the illness, not being black
Tell me what difference it makes if they have a different skin color
If we are all equal
There's no distinction between sex, color, or class
Blood is always red regardless of the container
Tell me if you care about the weight you carry under your feet
If you know your worth
There are no differences, so get the message
Equality is the word that makes the planet fit
The one who never says anything is the first to say enough
The marginalized one is the one who can crush you if they want
The one they call a nerd will outdo all of you in class
And the one who acts tough is the one carrying the most abuse
The one they call a slut hasn't made love in her life
She's just waiting for the man who will love her
But of course, if a guy hooks up with anyone, he's a stud
If it's a girl, she's suddenly a slut, right?
Go to hell and screw your prejudices
Screw the models that make you lose your mind
Screw the muscle men tempting you
Screw the 90-60-90 size, damn it
And screw your damn labels
That make people doubt if they're complete or not
I want to raise a bust in the center of the Earth
Everyone is who they are, and we should live happily
Tell me what difference it makes if they have a different skin color
If we are all equal
There's no distinction between sex, color, or class
Blood is always red regardless of the container
Tell me if you care about the weight you carry under your feet
If you know your worth
There are no differences, so get the message
Equality is the word that makes the planet fit
