El Centenario
Darey Castro
The Centennial
If you're broke, people humiliate you
If you're rich, they treat you real nice
A friend got into the mob
Because he didn't want to be poor no more
Now he's got money to spare
They pay him by the sackful every month
They all call him the centennial
For the jewel that shines on his chest
Now everyone sees him differently
All his scorn has disappeared
Just because he drives a brand-new car
They see him with the dollar sign
The government chases after him
But he doesn't stop working
He goes to LA all the time
And comes back with a ton of cash
He gets orders from above
And he fulfills them no matter what
He's gotten used to danger
And that's why he's not afraid of anything
He cruises around in a corvette
Through Tijuana and Guadalajara
Through LA and San Francisco
And also through Las Vegas, Nevada
In the mob, you make money
But you need courage
Because there's no family ties here
No room for any mistakes
You're always risking your neck
With the law or with the boss
