Simple hearts of imperfect men and women
But faithful to a Great God
Tears and battles turned into shouts of joy and victories
For the name of Jaweh
You who bring down cities

Lord of Your people and my heart

King of Your people, You are also my God
In the same way you will accompany me
I only have inadequate weapons with me
But all my strength comes only from You
No matter how weak, unfit I may be
I believe in a great God

Young and old, servants and soldiers like many
But surrendered to an extraordinary God
Humble objects turned into banners, shields, and swords
In the hands of Jaweh
You who bring down a giant
With a boy's sling
Take this little faith of mine

I will trust only in You
Almighty, infallible King
And I will sing, I will triumph
Because you have already won for me
