Adiós a La Vida
Dario Gomez
Goodbye to Life
The day I die
Why so many requirements?
If someone feels sadness
Let them have a nice silence
So in the wooden box
I can sleep peacefully
Those who loved me
Will look with sorrow
At my crystal paleness
And my cold, stiff body
I will lead the line
On the way to the cemetery
And when the moment comes
For the earth to swallow me
I will feel the laments
Earth and flowers in my flesh
And I will even scream in silence
When they start to leave me
Time starts to pass
And I begin to fade into oblivion
Maybe a flower and a prayer
From a family member or a friend
I know that one day my memory
Will bring neither warmth nor cold
After all, life
Is a path towards death
Everyone who walks it
Even if slowly
Surely reaches the end
And in the end, God and his luck
And when the moment comes
For the earth to swallow me
I will feel the laments
Earth and flowers in my flesh
And I will even scream in silence
When they start to leave me
