Una Flor Para Mi Madre
Dario Gomez
A Flower For My Mother
Here in this grave I leave this flower
So that my mother remembers me
I'm left alone, begging to God
Asking for comfort for my heart
Here among the dead I leave a carnation
To the holy mother that heaven gave me
I stay crying in such a cruel world
Because on the wings of death my mother departed
If you have gone to another dwelling, mama
Bless my luck, my path by God
So that up there it turns into a prayer
I leave you these flowers with all my love
So that up there it turns into a prayer
I leave you these flowers with all my love
Now I'm going far away from here
To foreign lands, suffering I go
But on Mother's Day I will return
To leave with my tears a cross nailed
When my soul tends to fly to heaven
Death in its claws takes me to God
To my blessed mother I want to find
Praying a rosary and kissing the flower
If you have gone to another dwelling, mama
Bless my luck, my path by God
So that up there it turns into a prayer
I leave you these flowers with all my love
So that up there it turns into a prayer
I leave you these flowers with all my love
