Shadow And Light
Today I wake up, like a shipwreck survivor,
Alone and soaked with sea perfume,
As if you were in another hemisphere
And I couldn't sail you anymore.
And I've looked out my window,
As if what I see behind is mine.
But landscapes, love, have no owner.
No matter how much I look at you, you won't be mine.
I'll only confess it once,
There's something about you to declare
Something escapes me in the melancholy.
The hour that learned to fly.
And love is not perfect,
It's an uncertain hallway,
With its shadow and its light.
If it's our love, when young
It's an uncertain landscape
With its ups and downs.
We're not prepared for all of this,
We were, but not anymore.
Today our love, without prospect,
Is like a loose verse, uncertain
With its shadow and its light.
Today I woke up with a shipwreck survivor,
But there are latitudes where the sun shines,
If another lantern goes out and the soul lights up,
The moon is alone outside on the balcony.
Then I realize once,
That I just want to sail,
And something ignites inside my anatomy
The waves don't know how to swim.
Because love is not perfect,
It's an uncertain hallway,
With its shadow and its light.
And love, it's in the wind
It's always open sea
With its shadow and its light.
We're not prepared for all of this.
We were, but not anymore.
Today our love, is no longer ours
This uncertain path continues
With its shadow and its light.
And love,
That I want
Is beautiful like a port
In the middle
Of the shadow and the light.
Of the shadow and the light.
