Perdas e Ganhos

Not always in our lives do we have what we desire
Sometimes we lose what we love and it's immense disillusion
We cry for our loss and hurt, falling into depression
We forget about what we still have
And sadness invades our hearts

Lord (Jesus) may I not remain
Crying over what I lost, but may I
Be grateful for what remains for me
May I recognize that I am blessed
Because what was lost you can well restore to me
What remains can multiply a thousand times
Because I am your beloved daughter

Let us always praise God for whatever may happen
Even if we come to suffer huge disappointments
Let us remember that the Bible commands us to always give thanks to God
Whether in times of smiling or crying, may there be gratitude in our hearts
