Jesus was in Bethany
Dining at the house of a certain Simon
A woman came there
Bringing a jar of ointment in her hand
That precious perfume
She poured it on the master
And Judas in his ambition
Murmured about it in his heart
An ointment that was poured
Would be sold for a great value
The money would be given to the poor
It would be a gesture of greater praise
Jesus who knows everything
With a voice of tenderness said this:
You will have among the poor,
But for a short time you will have me
This kind woman
Anointing my body wanted to prepare me
For my burial
Which will happen in a few days
She did a good deed for me
That's why her name will remain in history
Wherever the gospel is preached
This will be told in her memory
