The waves of anguish seem higher than your faith
With strength from above he continues fighting against the tide

You can persecute God's people and they will always win
Nothing in this world will separate us from God's love

All Christians at all times have been persecuted
Prisons and floggings, deaths at the stake were not overcome
And even today, faithful believers are persecuted
They are clothed with the Holy Spirit and will have victory
