Rehearsal of a Mouth
The mouth of my beloved is a garden of cherry trees,
it is a source of pure water, the bowl where I shelter and increase my longings.
Her lips are new shoots and her teeth sugar, and her breath is perfume,
and her breath is an inexhaustible haven, her voice as it flows
rocks me and nourishes me, cradles and comforts me.
Her laughter is transparent like the play of the wind,
she fills me when she laughs and when she leaves smiling,
when she smiles for no reason and when for no reason I invite her to smile again.
Her crystalline laughter is my joy and my reward.
And if her mouth lets out a sigh from her chest
it envelops and captivates me, flatters me
and I am more prepared to comfort her hands,
her lips and her neck, her dove-like belly
and her delicate flight and in the manner of her mouth
is my desire, her mouth is the window,
her mouth is her secret, it is the song of water
and the language of the soul and it is love and time
her beloved mouth.
The mouth of my beloved is a garden of cherry trees
it is an orchard of orange trees, lemons, and almond trees
it is shade and freshness in the most perfect mold
and my dearest treasure, because today she gives me everything
if she gives me a kiss.
