Entre Pairos Y Derivas
Fernando Delgadillo
Between Pairos and Drifts
I have come to suppose you
in all the days that I lack
even if, I could see them as they are.
I just want to summarize to you that
at first I thought of you
and today I contemplate in you
the coast where I am going.
If I tell you that this union
of sweet and salt held me
and other similar things
that envelop me and make me imagine.
It's just that I delight so much
listening to myself invent you in my prison
it's my favorite dream
and I wouldn't want to one day realize
that this encounter never happened to me.
To me who wakes up again for your breath,
many more times than I would have confessed yesterday.
That I bid farewell to the setting sun
when I have contemplated the eternity of your eyes
and finally begin to see.
That I am no longer keeping silent that I love you
that you take my breath away
that your tyrannical ports attract my life
where my loving vessel always pointed.
My existence the fisherman
who daily extended to life
his shining overseas nets
where the poet star burns
that illuminates itself
and travels and dreams on its eternal solar path
place of breeze, waves, and azure days
that were always leading to you.
That were always invisible signs
untraceable courses through me.
Take the helm of my boat
and the east of my sails.
In your solid ground give me a sign
be my lighthouse at night
d let me plow with my keel
in your sands, soar your spring.
If I lose myself in your lips offshore and
it is not possible for me to return.
I will venture into your secret paths
to explore your sources, your jungles, your thirst.
Between Pairos and drifts
through the seas of my life
today I always see myself rowing to you.
