Buenas Intenciones
Fernando Delgadillo
Good Intentions
Today when the sun comes out
it will be a good day to punch life
in the nose
Taking my good intentions with her, she abandoned me
I have myself
and I am complete, I don't lack a nose, nor imagination
And I can make more than one demanding request happy
to almost any demanding request
I can't sit around waiting for her to come and say sorry,
anything can happen to her or to me
and so, without complexes, I would also throw her memory
in the trash can in the garden
She started it deliberately and it didn't occur to her,
or to me, that between her and me
there's room for one or two girls
I would say more like two
let's see if experience can speak louder than any
science book that fantastically comments on everything known about love
of course, she may never come back to me
and I may sit around remembering how I laughed when she left and I left
It could happen; but what are we going to do
if there's no other choice
We'll add another one in the mix and instead of two girls, maybe three
That's how my reflexes kick in
and if I don't grow old, no, I won't die of old age, don't you think?
I can perfectly go see the doctor
who prescribes vitamins for my love
and for my satisfaction, give me those pills please
The sun has set
it wasn't a bad day but something happened that changed the plans of my life
when I called her in the afternoon and she forgave me.
