Hoy Hace Un Buen DíA

In this land I have seen my first light
I have seen and see light solid ground and vast sky
everything around me is immersed in the love
that those who came before us had for us

And today is a good day to talk about those who are here
tracing daily the well-being of all who will come
as the dawn precedes the daily sun
as we know that tomorrow will be the same
because that's how it has been done over the years
that pass and go

In this land where I can walk
under the direction I give to my steps
there will always be time to come and sing to it
for being the most I know how to offer as a gift

It gave me a place where I can happily say upon return
this is my country this is my land and home and this is its song
a song like all the ones that have been made
just that with this one I want to mention
all the good that being born in this town did for me
and that breaks my heart
that talking about Mexico always inflames my chest

And if we look back to where we started
and find the ancients who formed a place
but one day they left and we learned to say
great were the travelers who passed through here

In this land I knew the dignity
of those who work to see their loved ones grow
of those who strive to overcome their condition
even despite going through times of misfortune

and today is a good day to talk about those who are here
tracing daily the well-being of all who will come

From the seed that reaches the seedbed
that will one day arrive in this fertile land
and there is no need to repeat how much I love them if I have said it so many times already
and talking about love is good when one is sincere

And if they look back at what they have to start
and find us who form a place
that one day we will leave and maybe they will be able to say
