Las Visiones

The Visions
So long ago
that the cold nights
stay inside me
how not the days,
and the singing voice
of wind and guitar
fades away,
shakes off moorings.
Captain of the ship
ray of the west,
keep sailing
whatever comes ahead.
I undress daily
with each tune
of the alphabet,
of the straw days,
point-blank rain,
rumors of fire,
moon in my cup,
sky's lamp.
I've seen a friend
stop talking to me,
I've seen a brother
learn to fly,
and then fall and kiss
hands because they were wings.
I've seen the tear in
a blind man's eyes,
I've seen the moon
weaving in the sky
fates of ships that
always set sail and never
departed.
And though I haven't seen much,
sometimes I look more.
I don't understand the air
I don't think the river,
there's no room on my ship
for other vessels.
I crossed borders
left the roads,
I knew that outside
you never return.
I'm already a cloud dreaming in the sky
with an allegorical stroke in the night
that I'll never be able to find out if it's me
or just a dream.
I've seen a line drawn at random
a lighthouse in the night, a starfish
and a wind blowing without anyone being able to set a sail.
I've seen a friend stop talking to me
I've seen learning to fly
and then breaking to kiss hands
because they were wings
and although I've seen so much sometimes I look more
