The poet discovered why the sea is in turmoil
Because it can't bathe my Mato Grosso
The despair of the sea hitting the beautiful beach
It's envy that it feels towards the beautiful Rio Araguaia
Its waves go up and down, up and down endlessly
It's the desire it feels to be the Paraná River
If the sea also bathed Mato Grosso do Sul
Its great vastness would become bluer
Besides Paraná, it would know Araguaia
It would adorn its beaches with the beautiful people of Mato Grosso
In the North Mato Grosso, it would bathe the capital
It would know the White Heron, adornment of the Pantanal
Besides the two Mato Grossos, it doesn't know my Goiás
Its waves don't reach the beautiful Minas Gerais
Belo Horizonte, Goiânia, Campo Grande, Cuiabá
It doesn't know their lament or their chuá chuá
