Luna
Denise Rosenthal
Moon
Behind the glass I see the moon shining
In the darkness, I see its loneliness
The night is deep when it's blue
Half moon, it can still shine
The passing clouds unintentionally embrace her without understanding
She understands her own cycle
Honey eclipse
Look at me
I play my own chess
I don't know which piece to use this time
For the kingdom to fall again
And like you
I know I have my own light
In orbit I return to my truth
I no longer seek my other half
The moon is sad from waiting so long
For its other half to come looking for it
What she doesn't know is that she spins like a spiral
To reach the same place
Nothing is in vain, patient moon, she finally understands
Her own time, her own cycle
Honey eclipse
Look at me
I play my own chess
I don't know which piece to use this time
For the kingdom to fall again
And like you
I know I have my own light
In orbit I return to my truth
I no longer seek my other half
When I look at the moon I can think, of all that I have to heal
I'm still here, in this duality
A process to understand that you and I, are wind and reflection
From here I see your own light
Between your silver threads and your freedom
In tranquility, you need no more
Look at me
I play my own chess
I don't know which piece to use this time
For the kingdom to fall again
And like you
I know I have my own light
In orbit I return to my truth
I no longer seek my other half
