Si La Muerte Pregunta

If Death Asks
To smoke or not to smoke, that's the dilemma
I've been living wild all week, man, my life’s extreme
The party runs through my veins, it’s in my system
But nothing fills me up, I think I’ve got a problem
I’m on the edge of madness, damn drug dependency
I think I’ve signed my own death warrant, hate withdrawal syndrome
I can’t take it and I’ve got no patience, my conscience keeps talking to me
It says: Don’t stop, don’t stop, quit thinking so much about the consequences
Yeah, better light it up, light it up, light it up
There’s no other solution, dude, get it, light it up
Or toss it, give it away, sell it, do something
As long as it’s there with you, you’ll keep getting high
How am I gonna toss it? It’s all I’ve got
Damn conscience, no way, I’d rather light it up
To get really high and stop you from bothering me
Anyway, here I am with my crew writing
Light it up
I’m traveling and tripping in various places
I hear voices from my homie that always scream at me: Don’t stop
Smoking in big amounts, when I’m rolling through the streets
Here we’re all the same, we’re addicts, but we don’t care
Damn, just inhale and exhale
No problem, that’s how we roll
Better that you don’t even try to judge
Once you’re in here, you don’t get out
And I can’t get out, no matter how hard I try
I’m like a damn fakir: I like to suffer
For days I’ve wanted to sleep, but I can’t
We all gotta die somehow, and I won’t deny it
If I die, I’d rather die partying
A few drinks, that’s my proposal
Get the other one that stinks
Light it up quick, hit it and pass it
While the crew wakes up, let’s see what happens
In a few hours we gotta head home
A shoutout to the crazy ones with armor
This one’s for all of you, this big joint of mustard
If Death asks about me, tell her you didn’t see me
Don’t waste her time, the one who’s looking doesn’t exist
And if the Devil asks about me, tell him I’ll be back later.
